I just ordered these. . .

Best website for shoe lovers! Every month they send you a selection of shoes- you can order a pair for $39.95 or "skip this month" and not pay anything. They are the first pair that I've ordered, but my friend Anna and I share a pair of gorgeous pink pumps (which will appear in this website later)

Anyway I fell in love with these shoes immediately! I cannot WAIT to get them in the mail and see how they look with various outfits!!!

Clean the house? Red shoes first :)

Well for starters, I love bright colored shoes. I decided I wanted something comfortable, not too flashy (isn't RED flashy enough???) and of course (as always) not ridiculously expensive. And here they are:

Want/Own: OWN!
From: Target
Price: $24.99
Comfort: 3 out of 5

For being such "comfortable" LOOKING shoes they definitely aren't as comfy as they look. This perhaps might be because the size 7 was slightly too large and these (being a 6 and 1/2) are slightly too small. Truly, I need a 6 3/4 size but most often I find myself either getting size 6 1/2 or 7. ANYWAY, apparently my right foot is also slightly larger because it ends up being a little more sore than my left foot. Just goes to show that just because shoes "look" comfortable and might even feel comfortable for the first 1/2 hour- after about 8 hours of walking around the salon they have met their limit! I am disappointed for the fact that considering how conservative they are they should be EXTREMELY comfortable. I definitely have higher heels that surpass these in comfort!

That being said, they are very cute. I like to pair them with this dress:

(I know the dress is a winner too- $19.99 at Sears!)

And I also purchased these pants at Savers ($5.99 yes I am the queen of bargains, thank you!) and think I might try pairing them with these as well. We shall see though I don't want to get too "matchy matchy" with the red thing. . . however, it could be cute! If I make it work, I will post pics of the completed outfit. . .

All in all they are very cute and I've worn them with anything- dress, pants, capris. Versatile and a nice accent to any outfit! If only the comfort level was better they might top my list of favorites!

Pointy toes and skinny heels

These types of shoes used to make me want to vomit. Ironically, now I love them. I think they are elegant and beautiful and can dress up ANY outfit. Why the change in opinion? I don't know. Perhaps I never will know. But what matters is the fact that I find myself reaching for this gorgeous pair almost every workday:

Want/Own: OWN!
From: Walmart
Price: $12.00
Comfort: 4 out of 5

The lower heel makes them easier to walk in, yet still incredibly classy. The toe area is starting to crease some which is probably a result of being a cheaper material (this is from walmart after all!) and also because I wear them- A LOT.

I prefer to wear them with pants, I feel like it makes me look just a little bit edgier and professional. I'm sure they'd be awesome with capris/skirts/dresses as well, but I haven't tried that yet. So far it's been my primary choice with dress slacks.

Very comfortable to wear to work (lots of standing, walking, etc). However I did wear them once on a very busy shift for about 8 hours and THAT was a little painful. I'd say they have about a 5-6 hour limit for excessive walking etc. Otherwise when excessive walking is NOT on the menu they are perfectly comfortable- no blisters, no aching.

I also have a pair of boots that are similar to these shoes (the reason which inspired me to find shoes in this style). While they look frighteningly uncomfortable I have to say- if the toe isn't too narrow and the heel not too high they are actually more comfortable than any of my other dress shoes/boots.

Depending on how well these hold up, I may invest in a sturdier pair of higher quality. I think I am going to keep my eyes open at thrift stores for similar shoes that are gently used but of better quality. I'm sure if they weren't one of my top favorite pairs they would last forever, but at this rate I'm thinking within a year or so they might be finding their way to the trash. . . we will see.

So there you go. More to come as I find time!
